ABC Hub Meetings 2018-2019
ABC Partners for 2018-2019 are invited to choose which hub meeting they wish to attend. You may attend the one that is nearest to your location, or you may wish to journey farther for conversations with other educators outside your geographic region. In an effort to help you with planning and substitutes, we are sharing Hub Meeting topics, locations, and dates so that you can make your plans to best use these professional learning opportunities to improve student achievement.
All meetings will begin at 9:00 and conclude no later than 12:00 PM.
Lunch will be on your own. (Exception: Crowley's Ridge Co-op provides lunch for their participants.)
Agendas will be posted each time about a week before the first scheduled Hub Meeting for that month.

Hub Meeting #1 Leadership | The Power of Focus Wednesday, November 7
This will be a virtual meeting via Zoom Chat from 9:00-12:00
The session will be recorded and posted so you can participate in all or part of the live conversation or access the recorded version at your convenience
Target Audience:
Superintendents, Principals, Other Administrators, Teacher Leaders, Instructional Facilitators, etc.
We know that consistent, school-wide implementation of a coherent, content-rich curriculum and a targeted Response-to-Intervention Model will yield high student achievement and growth. The question is, "Do you have the systems and resources in place to make it happen?" What does your district/school need to improve student achievement? We will explore the role of core instruction and provide a step-by-step guide for planning for RTI. An overview of the ABC website and new ABC resources will also be featured.
Hub Meeting #2 Literacy
Target Audience:
K-12 Teachers of Literacy AND teachers of OTHER Subject Areas, administrators, teacher leaders, instructional facilitators, etc.
This meeting will focus on literacy results from ACT Aspire, implementation of the Arkansas Literacy Standards, ABC literacy resource development, and free open educational literacy resources teachers can use to teach the literacy standards. Social media and face-to-face collaborative networking opportunities will be shared as well.
